Tonight, my son, a 9 year old phone enthusiast told me today was the best day of his life. Better than Christmas morning or any if his summer vacations; because today he met Vincent Valentine and spent the entire day learning and sharing his knowledge at The Telephone Museum. Thank breadth of knowledge, understanding of the technical and anecdotal history of all thing telephone made this museum come to life. The collection is interesting to a novice or expert and the hands on aspect was what really made our son light up! He was able to ask questions and we realized that he knew even more than we realized, as he spoke with Vincent like a contemporary. It is this that made me enjoy it even more – connecting the generations to our past through the technology and innovations, inspiring a young child to think, make connections, engineer and love to learn. I don’t think we could ever thank Vincent enough for devoting his entire day to our son. He cannot wait to return and we highly recommend this museum.
