On This Day in Telephone History March 16TH 1789

On This Day in Telephone History March 16TH 1789 Georg Ohm was Born. Georg Simon Ohm was a German physicist and mathematician. Ohm began his research with the new electrochemical cell which was invented by Italian scientist Alessandro Volta. Ohm found that there is a direct proportionality between the potential difference (voltage) applied across a conductor and the resultant electric current. This relationship is known as Ohm’s law. Described mathematically as Voltage divided by resistance equals current.
